Grapefruit and vodka sorbet

  • 1 sugar (to taste)

  • 1 tbsp sugar (to taste)

  • 1 splash vodka

  • 1 grapefruit (per person, pink if possible)

  • 1 tbsp mint (per person)


<ol> <li>Squeeze/pulp the grapefruits to give a mixture of juice and pulp without pith or pips.</li> <li>Sweeten to taste, and add a good tablespoon of fresh chopped mint per person.</li> <li>Pour into a freezer container. Freeze for approx 6-8 hours, giving it an occasional stir with a fork when you remember.</li> <li>To serve, scoop into martini glasses and drizzle with vodka to taste.</li> </ol>

Handy Hint

<p>Leftovers make a great base for grapefruit and mint cocktails - add vodka and top up with soda.</p>

    I've chosen the starter section, but it makes a great end to a meal
