250g cream cheese
3 peppers, de-seeded and sliced
1 jar passata
1 onions, (large) peeled and sliced
4 handfuls spaghetti or pasta
- Put pasta on to cook.
- Gently fry the onion and peppers until soft.
- Add the sliced chorizo, fry off for 2 minutes then add the passata and allow to simmer for 10 minutes or so,so that the smokey taste from the sausage permeates the sauce.
- Stir in several tablespoons of cream cheese to taste.
- The less cheese you add the less calories!! Serve over pasta.
Using different coloured peppers makes it pretty. Lidl sell chorizo-type sausages pretty cheaply. You can use low fat version of soft cheese, the sauce will just not be quite as smooth.
