Crab and mushroom delight

  • 1 tsp mustard

  • 100ml dry white wine

  • 1/2 tsp mixed herbs

  • 75g breadcrumbs

  • 2 tbsp plain flour

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 100ml single cream

  • 450g crab meat (fresh, frozen or tinned)

  • 150g mushrooms sliced (any variety)


<ol> <li>Gently fry mushrooms in a frying pan until lightly cooked.</li> <li>In a saucepan, mix flour, butter, mustard, herbs, cream and wine and bring to the boil, stirring all the time.</li> <li>When boiling, add mushrooms and crab meat to sauce and put into slow cooker.</li> <li>Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and cook in slow cooker for about 6 hours on low.</li> </ol>

Handy Hint

<p>Buy your crabmeat tinned, taste more or les the same as fresh and no fiddling about.</p>
