Ingredients

  • 1 handful frozen peas, cooked on the hob

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 bowl mashed potato

Method

  1. Ensure potato is well mashed with no lumps.
  2. Drain cooked peas, add butter and puree in pan with hand held blender.
  3. Mix peas into potatoes, bit by bit, so there's enough in there to be nutritious, but not so green it doesn't look like potato any more.

    I thought all children liked peas, even if they didn't like any other veg. My daughter proved me wrong! But after having some success with mashed swede mixed with mashed potato (she loves her bangers and mash!), I decided to try with peas, which if I get the balance right, works a treat
