Quick and easy home made pizza (ideal for kids to make)

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp tomato puree

  • 1 handful cheese grated. (Mozzarella is best but any will do)

  • 1 handful mixed vegetables chopped (eg peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, sweetcorn)

  • 1 pitta breads

Method

<ol> <li>Spread a thin layer of tomato puree on the pitta bread.</li> <li>Sprinkle with a good handful of cheese until fairly evenly covered (or get toddlers to do so, then tidy up efforts).</li> <li>Arrange assorted chopped veg on top</li> <li>Place in hot oven (approx 170C fan or 190C normal) for about 6-10 mins, until cooked.</li> <li>Slice and serve in mini pizza-wedge shapes</li> </ol>

Handy Hint

<p>Brilliant for getting toddlers involved in cooking but its best to get everything ready first. Did this with 2 kids today and there was some seriously competitive vegetable application going on, even with things they wouldn't normally eat&hellip;and they ate everything after it was cooked, too!</p>

    This also works well with ordinary thick sliced bread, and tomato sauce for pasta instead of puree. Great for a quick tea
