Tuna cheesy mash

Ingredients

  • 400g tuna

  • 1 handful cheese, grated

  • 2.2kg potatoes, mashed

  • 1 handful breadcrumbs

Method

  1. Boil and mash potatoes
  2. Add tuna to mash and stir through.
  3. Put mixture into oven-proof dish and sprinkle the cheese over the top of mash.
  4. You can also add breadcrumbs for a crispy, cheesy topping.
  5. Put in preheated oven for 15 mins, or until warmed through and cheese has melted.

    Did this yesterday for supper and it went down well with DH and DS. I also enjoyed it so thanks! In fact, it went down so well that DH did a version for lunch today with sweet potato, baked beans and onions. This recipe is fab because you can use leftovers.

    I made this by accident when I burnt the mince for shepherds pie! And all I had in the house was a pan of mash and a tin of tuna. The dc love it and always ask for it.
