Chocolate pear crumble

Ingredients

  • 113g sugar

  • 56g cocoa powder

  • 2 tins pears in fruit juice

  • 1 tbsp cornflour

  • 170g plain flour

  • 113g butter or margarine

Method

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180F/350C/Gas 4
  2. Drain the pears, put them into an oven proof dish.
  3. Heat the pear juice and cornflour over low heat, stir until thickened.
  4. Pour thickened juice over pears.
  5. Rub together flour, coco powder and butter until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  6. Stir in sugar.
  7. Pour crumble mixture over pears.
  8. Cook for 35-40 mins.
  9. Serve.
