Ingredients

  • 1 jar jam

  • 1 packet of shortcrust pastry, (or make your own)

Method

  1. Roll out the pastry and cut out the circles.
  2. Put pastry into baking tray.
  3. Put dollop of jam into cases.
  4. Put tarts into oven at 190C/Gas Mark 5 for about 20 mins.
  5. Leave to cool.

Handy Hint

Don't overfill the cases as the jam will bubble over and it's a nightmare to get off.

    I keep a block of shortcrust pastry in the freezer for rainy days, just take it out the night before you know it's going to be another rainy (or poorly) day indoors.
