2 kg gammon, any joint
4 l apple juice
- Place gammon in the slow cooker
- Pour apple juice into a saucepan and heat until simmering. (Some slow cookers do not require you to heat liquid first so you can just pour the apple juice over the gammon).
- Pour apple juice over gammon, place the slow cooker lid on and cook on slow for 8 hours. When cooked take the gammon out and it should just fall apart (and melt in the mouth!).
Rather than waste the apple juice why not use it as a base of a home made apple sauce?
