Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp tomato puree

  • 1/2 red onion

  • 4 whole-wheat muffins

  • Some fresh oregano

  • 8 slices mozzarella

  • 4 mushrooms

Method

  1. Chop the onion and slice the mushroom.
  2. Slice the muffins in half and place on a baking tray.
  3. Spread each half with the tomato puree.
  4. Add some slices of mushroom and the chopped onion.
  5. Place a slice of mozzarella on the top of each and sprinkle with a pinch of oregano.
  6. Bake in a moderate oven for 10-15 minutes.

Handy Hint

Let children experiment with different toppings, vegetables/cheese etc.
