  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda

  • 115g caster sugar

  • 1 tbsp golden syrup

  • 28g cocoa powder

  • 150ml milk/soya milk

  • 55g butter/vegan margarine

  • 115g plain flour


<ol> <li>Mix ingredients together and divide into cake cases.</li> <li>Cook on Gas Mark 3 for 30 minutes in the middle of the oven.</li> </ol>

Handy Hint

<p>These can be eaten warm (recommended!) with cream/dairy-free cream or cold with butter/vegan margarine icing. My toddler hearts them very very much.</p>
