  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tin anchovies, in olive oil

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 250g pasta, (orrechiete are good)

  • 1 handful Parmesan, grated

  • 1 tsp dried chilli flakes, (if your kids like spicy food)

  • 1 broccoli, chopped into florets

  • 100ml Worcestershire sauce


  1. Boil the pasta and broccoli together until the pasta is done, don't worry if the broccoli is a bit soft.
  2. Meanwhile, make a sauce. Tip the anchovies and their oil into a saucepan and break them down with a wooden spoon. Crush the garlic clove and add.
  3. Fry for a minute or two and then add the chillies and half a glass of white wine, and drink the other half! This can simmer until the pasta is done.
  4. Drain the pasta and broccoli, tip the sauce over and garnish generously with shavings of Parmesan cheese.
