  • 60ml golden syrup

  • 175g rolled oats

  • 100g light brown soft sugar

  • 75g butter


<ol> <li>Grease a 20cm (8inch) square baking tin and preheat the oven to 180C/Gas Mark 4.</li> <li>Heat the butter, sugar and golden syrup in a saucepan until the butter has melted.</li> <li>Stir in the rolled oats.</li> <li>Press the mixture into the tin and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes.</li> <li>Cut into fingers whilst still warm then leave to finish cooling in the tin before turning out.</li> </ol>
