  • 1 pinch salt and pepper

  • 1 tsp olive oil

  • 100g chopped tomato

  • 1 chilli, de-seeded if you don't like it too hot and chopped

  • 1 pinch dried oregano

  • 100g steak mince

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 1 pinch fresh coriander, chopped

  • 3-4 shallots, chopped

  • 85g mushrooms, chopped


  1. Heat olive oil, and gently fry shallot, chilli and garlic until softened. Season with salt, pepper and oregano.
  2. Turn the heat up and add the mince. Stir until all the pink has gone.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook for about 1 minute.
  4. Add the tomatoes, stir and then simmer with the lid on the pan for around 30 minutes. Keep checking it as you may need to add water to stop it getting too dry or burning.
  5. Just before serving, add the coriander.
