  • 2 slices bacon

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 packet of shortcrust pastry (or make your own!)

  • 3 tbsp creme fraiche


<ol> <li>Line a quiche tin with pastry and bake blind for 10-15 mins at 180C/Gas Mark 6.</li> <li>In the meantime: Cut bacon into small pieces and fry in a pan.</li> <li>Beat the eggs with salt and pepper. Add crème and beat again.</li> <li>Place bacon pieces on the baked pastry.</li> <li>Pour over your egg/cream mixture and spread evenly.</li> <li>Put back in the oven and cook for another 20 minutes.</li> <li>Serve the quiche lorraine with a light salad.</li> </ol>

    This is the 'real' French quiche, which originates from the east of France, an area called 'Lorraine'. It is extremely simple and quick! Enjoy!
