Tuna pasties

Ingredients

  • 2 tins tuna

  • 198g sweetcorn tinned

  • 85g cheese grated

  • 500g puff pastry ready made, one pack

  • 1 red pepper cooked

Method

<ol> <li>Pre heat oven to 200C/Gas Mark 6.</li> <li>Drain and flake tuna and mix with the cheese.</li> <li>Seed, peel and chop the red pepper into small pieces.</li> <li>Roll out pastry thinly until about 16in square and cut into 4in squares. Put a dollop of tuna/cheese/pepper mix in middle of each square and dampen edges of pastry with water.</li> <li>Fold edges across to make triangular pasties, pinching to seal the edges.</li> <li>Brush tops with milk to brown. Put in oven for 10 mins or until golden.</li> </ol>

    Fantastic easy recipe. I love tuna but mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, beans, ham and sweetcorn all go well with cheese. The pastry is even better when brushed with egg yolk.
