Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp milk

  • 450g potato

  • 50g cheese

  • 450g minced beef

  • 75g frozen peas

  • 1 tsp mixed herbs

  • 300ml beef, or vegetable stock

  • 1 onions, chopped

  • 2 carrot, peeled and chopped

  • 1 tbsp plain flour

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 190C.
  2. Heat olive oil in large pan, add mince, onion and carrots and cook until mince browned.
  3. Pour away excess fat, stir in flour and stock and bring to boil.
  4. Add peas and mixed herbs and stir.
  5. Simmer on low heat for 30 mins.
  6. Peel potatoes and cut into chunks, cook for about 20 mins until soft, then mash with milk and most of the cheese.
  7. Transfer mince when cooked into oven proof dish top with mash and sprinkle over remaining cheese, cook for 25 mins.
