  • 3oz sugar

  • 3oz golden syrup

  • 8oz oats

  • 1oz cornflakes crushed

  • 1 banana mashed

  • 4oz butter


<ol> <li>Combine the sugar, syrup and butter and melt together.</li> <li>Mix crushed cornflakes with the oats and add butter mixture, then mix in the banana.</li> <li>Pour into a 8inch x 5inch tin and level top.</li> <li>Bake 170C for 25-30 mins, until slightly golden - do not overcook.</li> <li>Mark into bars and leave to cool.</li> </ol>

Handy Hint

<p>You can use dried apricots too- soak for 30 mins in warm water/orange jiuce and puree with a hand blender. Try to make it not too wet. Use the puree instead of banana.</p>

    These came out really well. Second time I had run out of bananas and cornflakes so used grated apple and rice crispies instead. Still delicious.
