BT is delighted to be continuing to work with Mumsnet and be part of the Family Friendly programme.
Family Friendly Innovation Awards entry:
BT is a founding member of the Transformation Trust – a charity set up in 2009 to enhance the educational experience of children from schools in disadvantaged areas, where at least 20% of pupils receive free school meals. BT shares the belief that early interventions to build the social skills and core competencies that can help children to properly fulfill their potential and lead productive lives. This initiative also aligns directly to BT's goal to increase the level of digital inclusion within the communities.
Great success has been achieved with over 20,000 school children pledging their support to date. So far over 24,000 recipients have learnt about benefits of being online, achieved by training some 10,000 children who have then held sessions with their family and elder relatives showing them the benefits of being online.
BT and Transformation Trust are looking to build on this success driving the initiative through more schools in England, Wales and Scotland helping to reach and connect more communities.

2. Blocking nuisance calls
Nuisance calls can be an almost daily disruption and can turn a ringing phone into a source of stress and anxiety. Our new home phone, the BT 6500 Nuisance Call Blocker, can help put a stop to this. The majority of nuisance calls come from International or Unknown caller IDs, which can be easily blocked by this phone. You, can block specific numbers that you don't want to hear from again. Simply activate the caller display service on your BT account, set which types of call you want to block and get ready to relax when the phone rings, knowing it should be someone you do want to speak to.
The phone is also packed with other great features such as built-in parental controls which allow you to control different types of outgoing calls, such as mobile or premium rate calls using a PIN on the handset, avoiding any nasty surprises on your bill.

BT Sport customers can make a recurring £1, £3 or £5 donation through their bill each month – it is easy to set up and hassle free. Not only will BT match every £1 donated, up to £1 million, we are also donating £500,000 through various initiatives. In addition, we are covering the running costs of the fund, so that 100% of the donations go straight to The Supporter Club – managed by Comic Relief.
