Beeban Kidron is a film director whose credits include an eclectic mix of films, TV dramas and documentaries - including the much-lauded adaptation of Jeanette Winterson's Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit, 1995's To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. 

In 2013 she made InRealLife, a sobering documentary which explored teenagers' own feelings about the pressures of living their lives online, to great acclaim.  She's the founder, with Lindsay Mackie, of the charity Filmclub, which each week gives over 220,000 children a chance to view films from all over the world - with positive outcomes on literacy, social behaviour and cultural awareness.
