8th November

Kings Place,
York Way,
London N1 9AG

When is it?

Saturday, 8th November 2014, from 9am - 7pm

Where is it?

We'll be returning to the fabulous Kings Place this year - it's at 90 York Way, London N1. Kings Cross tube is just a stone's throw away - have a look on the map.

How much will it cost?

Tickets cost £95. Get yours here.

Which sessions can I attend?

Some sessions will be 'keynotes' which all delegates can attend, and others will be offered as breakouts for delegates to choose from. We will ask you to sign up in advance to participate in our bloggers skill-sharing roundtables, as these work best with smaller groups.

What is a skill-sharing roundtable?

We're excited to introduce this new element to the event this year. Our roundtables will cover everything from techie tips to how we can make blogging more inclusive. The idea is to enable bloggers to share skills, expertise and advice with their peers. Each roundtable will have a moderator who will lead the discussion and keep it to the topic.  We will contact you by email nearer to the event to ask you to sign up in advance if you'd like a place at a roundtable.  Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

What if I want to change which session I attend?

We will do our absolute best to squeeze you in to whichever session you would like to go to.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, Kings Place is fully accessible for wheelchair users. There are fully accessible toilets on each floor. A number of wheelchair and companion spaces are available in both auditoria, and infrared hearing assistance exists in both Hall One and Hall Two.

Will there be childcare?

Alas, we're not able to provide a crèche - but babes in arms will be welcome within the main conference, a comfy area will be provided for breastfeeding, and there will be babychange facilities.

Do I need to be a parent to attend?

Absolutely not! The conference is a celebration of blogging, writing, and everything that goes with that - the content will be stimulating (and useful) to anyone who's interested in those topics.

Is there internet access?

Yes, there is wifi access throughout the building.

What if I don't know any other bloggers going?

Don't be afraid of being a wallflower - our bloggers are a super-friendly bunch, and MNHQ staff will also be on hand to help. There will be plenty of opportunities to meet other bloggers at the sessions and during lunch and coffee breaks, our lovely drinks reception at the end of the day is a chance to download, and share experiences with other delegates. Before the day, you can connect with fellow attendees on the Blogfest 2014 Talk Thread. We'll also be running a #Blogfest2014 linky over the coming months, so you can read posts from other bloggers who are going and connect before the big day.

Can I have a refund if I can't go?

Yes, we'll be able to offer refunds up until September 27th, which is six weeks before the event.

Will there be brands there?

Blogfest is sponsored by a select group of brands who will have a presence at the event. If you're a representative from a brand and wish to attend the event, you must purchase a PR/Commercial ticket.

What is the difference between a Blogger delegate ticket a PR/Commercial ticket?

If you're a blogger – or are thinking of starting a blog – you should purchase a Blogger ticket.  If you're attending in a professional capacity - ie: you work for a company or agency and will be attending to connect with and find out more about the blogger community for professional reasons – you must buy a PR/Commercial ticket.

Can I be sponsored to attend?

Yes. You can seek sponsorship from a company to cover your ticket price, but Mumsnet can't help you do this. The sponsored relationship is between you – the blogger – and your sponsor. Your personal delegate sponsorship should not be confused with the official sponsorship of Mumsnet Blogfest. Only Blogfest official sponsors will have representation and stands at the event.

As a sponsored blogger you can:

  • Be your sponsor's ‘blogger on the ground' at the event
  • Promote your relationship with your sponsor on your blog
  • Promote your relationship with your sponsor through your own social media channel

But unfortunately, you won't be able to:

  • Hand out marketing material on behalf of your sponsor at the event. This opportunity is only available to official event sponsors
  • Host an event on behalf of your sponsor within the venue

If you've got any questions that aren't answered here, don't hesitate to ask us! Email with your queries.

Read great writing on parenting, politics and all the juice in between.
