Which sessions can I attend?
Some sessions will be 'keynotes' which all delegates can attend, and others will be offered as breakouts for delegates to choose from. We will ask you to sign up in advance to participate in our bloggers skill-sharing roundtables, as these work best with smaller groups.
What is a skill-sharing roundtable?
We're excited to introduce this new element to the event this year. Our roundtables will cover everything from techie tips to how we can make blogging more inclusive. The idea is to enable bloggers to share skills, expertise and advice with their peers. Each roundtable will have a moderator who will lead the discussion and keep it to the topic. We will contact you by email nearer to the event to ask you to sign up in advance if you'd like a place at a roundtable. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
What if I want to change which session I attend?
We will do our absolute best to squeeze you in to whichever session you would like to go to.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Will there be childcare?
Alas, we're not able to provide a crèche - but babes in arms will be welcome within the main conference, a comfy area will be provided for breastfeeding, and there will be babychange facilities.
Do I need to be a parent to attend?
Is there internet access?
Yes, there is wifi access throughout the building.
What if I don't know any other bloggers going?
Can I have a refund if I can't go?Yes, we'll be able to offer refunds up until September 27th, which is six weeks before the event.
Will there be brands there?Blogfest is sponsored by a select group of brands who will have a presence at the event. If you're a representative from a brand and wish to attend the event, you must purchase a PR/Commercial ticket.
What is the difference between a Blogger delegate ticket a PR/Commercial ticket? If you're a blogger – or are thinking of starting a blog – you should purchase a Blogger ticket. If you're attending in a professional capacity - ie: you work for a company or agency and will be attending to connect with and find out more about the blogger community for professional reasons – you must buy a PR/Commercial ticket.
Can I be sponsored to attend?
Yes. You can seek sponsorship from a company to cover your ticket price, but Mumsnet can't help you do this. The sponsored relationship is between you – the blogger – and your sponsor. Your personal delegate sponsorship should not be confused with the official sponsorship of Mumsnet Blogfest. Only Blogfest official sponsors will have representation and stands at the event.
As a sponsored blogger you can:
- Be your sponsor's ‘blogger on the ground' at the event
- Promote your relationship with your sponsor on your blog
- Promote your relationship with your sponsor through your own social media channel
But unfortunately, you won't be able to:
- Hand out marketing material on behalf of your sponsor at the event. This opportunity is only available to official event sponsors
- Host an event on behalf of your sponsor within the venue
