brilliant and very versatile, driving it is a dream and with the parking sensors it is easy to park.

The children love it and we tend to us the middle row facing the rear of the car so that the children are all facing each other. They like it that way.

Plenty of space which can be adjusted to where you need it most. You can make the boot bigger by making the seating area smaller.

Lots of added extras can be bought to make it more personal to your family.

Love the sliding doors and the high up visibility. Not so easy to find one at the right price with the right mileage in the right area. They really hold their price and are therefore expensive to buy 2nd hand.

We have three children and wanted a big car which enabled us to be able to take extra passengers at times. The caravelle has two seats in the front, two cabin seats in the second row (these can be turned around to face forwards or backwards or removed completely), and a sliding bench seat to seat three adults in the third row.
The car is easy to drive...a dream in fact! It has presence on the road, and visibility is excellent. Parking can prove tight in ordinary parking spaces, but because the back doors slide open down the length of the van, there is no danger of kids banging doors on other cars parked closely.
We have used our caravelle to sleep in...you can buy lots of extra kit to make it really usable...insulated window blinds, cooker/sink unit etc and as keen campers, it holds all of our gear in the boot when we take out the cabin seats, meaning children travelling under cool boxes, pillows and windbreakers are a distant memory!
Our van is still under warranty being only 2 years old. We have had no major problems with it at all...servicing is fairly reasonable, but it is pretty heavy on diesel(much of my driving is short distances in slow traffic). Motorway trips are much more economical.
The caravelle is the best car I have ever owned...its cool, safe, classy and super practical.
There is an added bonus of many other VW owners giving you a smile and a wave whilst you're driving around, making the trip to work just that bit more fun! ;oD

We have three children and a LOT of kit. When we go away we have surfboards, wetsuits, beach toys, dog box, fishing equipment, buggies etc and there's plenty of room for it all in the boot. We only have the three-seater bench seat in the back (the two single passenger seats are totally removable), which allows us a massive boot space. On a day-to-day basis we even keep our off-roader buggy up and simply wheel it in. It feels just like a car when driving it around, and as long as you have parking sensors then parking is no problem. I find it easier to always reverse in park, but this isn't vital. You can move around in the car - ie, get up out of the driver's seat and walk through to the seats behind to, for example, do up car seat straps if it's raining outside, or go through to feed a baby or change the DVD (obviously all this only when the vehicle is stationary!!). We have electric doors on both sides, so whichever side of the road you';re parked on the children can always get out on the pavement side. They can also be opened/closed remotely. A brilliant, brilliant car!!
