I have the legacy that is called the Outback which is slightly higher off the ground. I am now onto my second I used to drive VW Passat estates but this handles the road much better. It is also good on fuel. There is loads of leg room and the boot is great. In the snow recently I left all the other cars and got home no problem. Could just do with better foot heater

Handles well on country lanes, great fun on motorways. Sluggish handling for urban driving. Good sized boot. Strongly recommend the plastic boot liner and built in dog guard. Love the heated seats. Best wing mirrors of any car I've driven. One of the narrowest estate cars on the market, which makes parking in multi-stories easier.
Some issues with the clutch. Convinced there is a design flaw with the model we have (we have taken this up with Subaru).

The Subaru legacy estate ticks pretty much all the boxes for me and my little one. It's comfy, with leather seats and heated ones in the front. Spacious in the rear, plenty of room behind for Gran or Grandads knees as well as the LO. Boot space with estate is great and the rubber mat in the boot great for taking things to the tip.
A great all rounder. Down sides, it's not much of a looker, and doesn't exactly shift, but then again I'm much more of a Sunday driver now-a-days
