Our August children's book of the month is Four Children and It by the legendary Jacqueline Wilson.

About the author
Jacqueline Wilson, creator of Tracy Beaker, Hetty Feather and The Illustrated Mum, is the UK's leading children's author for girls. She has written 93 novels, which have sold more than 30 million copies in the UK alone.
Her books have also been translated into 32 different languages. She has won many awards for her writing, including the Guardian Children's Fiction Award and the Children's Book of the Year.
A former Children's Laureate, Jacqueline is as famous for her marathon signing sessions for her dedicated fans as she is for her distinctive chunky silver jewellery. She was born in Bath in 1945 and has lived most of her life in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey. She has one daughter and a much-loved pet cat called Jacob.
