About the Author
Simon Rickerty studied illustration at the Royal College of Art in London, where he won two awards and graduated with a Masters in Communication Art and Design. He won his first award at the tender age of four (the Bedfordshire under-fives Children's Book Drawing Competition!). Monkey Nut is his second picture book for Simon and Schuster, following The Yoga Ogre. He has also illustrated Peas (Puffin) and Unfortunately (Orchard). Simon lives in Bedfordshire.
