Recipe of the week

Avs1's pasta with creamy green sauce: fox veg-hating toddlers (or teens) and cunningly whizz a nice wodge of peas and leeks in this super-quick cheese sauce. Pour over penne and bask in a good-parent glow.

I've been wondering if Brian isn't SimonHoward? Or maybe we could make him SH since SH seems not to be here. We need a few Brians around Mumsnet right now, there seems to be a distinct lack of them at the moment!

Any more Brian thoughts out there?

I don't know who 'Parent' is but I feel so sorry for her now after her little typo. It has given us all a giggle though through the last few difficult days, poor Sofiames seems to be having a tough time as a result. I hope parent isn't new to the site and now thinks that we are all horrid. As for SH, he has gone quiet recently hasn't he? Anyone heard how things are going on the job front for him? Good luck SH anyway if you read this.

Anyway my brians were shared out between my 3 little darlings during their time in the womb and I was left without - or it certainly feels like that most days. DH bought the Life of Brian on DVD this summer, maybe I should watch it for a bit of inspiration. I would equate myself more to Brain the Snail from the Magic Roundabout right now though - nil motivation.

Can you imagine there will be Mumsnetters all around the world who snigger every time they have to write the words brain or Brian from now on!

In fact it took my brian so long to work in order to type the last entry that 2 more postings got put there before me.

Typos like that are called "Wrods" and cherished on another board I use.

We get a good few wrods on here, I've noticed, but parent's was definitely the best yet!

I used to share a house with a bloke who was in a band, they wrote a song called 'Brian Cant, Brian Cant, Brian Cant, Yes He Can' which I still find myself humming from time to time.

I think Brian Cant was my first crush.

Rhubard, Rhubard, Rhubard - you will have to change your name, my fingers just won't type it any other way!

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
