2 hour one off on backbends.
Time flew, I managed to do wheel and I am now sat at home happily aching slightly (in a good way).

Well done, cece! smile

Funny you should say this. I'm considering booking for my first ever yoga workshop. I want to choose one of four workshops over a weekend, which a rather well known yoga teacher will be holding near us. One of the workshops is indeed on backbends. And my back just doesn't bend!

Another one is about hip openers and my hips are very open. I wonder if I should go for one focusing on something I can't do and embarrass myself or something I can do very well?

I hate backbends normally -- get scared doing them in case I hurt myself, so decided to do it so that I could tackle them with more confidence/safely.

Do you have to regular yoga to be able to go on these workshops? I have started doing 20mins 3-4 times a week yoga at home with the help of DVDs. Would it help if I go on workshops, I can't do regular classes due to other commitments...

Well I only found out about it because it was run by one of the yoga teachers that I go to. I tend to go to two or three classes per week but vary the day/time/teacher I go to depending on life. It was open to everyone though. There were some people who obviously did yoga regularly but also some people who were fairly new to yoga too.
