Woolly Hugs...We are making a blanket for diege and her children : Lovely donors and crafters, please, we need your help.

You may have heard the dreadfully sad news that diege's husband died suddenly in June. Mental ill health can be such a devastating illness. Bless his heart. Life has been very cruel to them. We send diege and their six children our love and are so sorry for their loss.

We are so glad that diege has accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, we hope it may give whatever comfort it can to them all. There will be love crafted into every stitch. Diege's thread is here if you would like to post condolences

  Colours for the blanket - lots of bright, sunshiny colours.In terms of themes, he loved the outdoors. Cycling a passion, also anything to do with fish, trees, plants, mountain climbing in Snowdonia, the seaside (Whitby!) and oddly cacti!

  Then the children...JW, SW, LW, (the girls), then the boys oddly the same - JW, SW, LW.

These three are the oranges we have used before WhenDoISleep so they will be fine, one is quite a bright tangerine, another is a burnt orange, the other is somewhere in the middle. All gorgeous, thank you xxxx

Was so very sorry to read of the sad news. Glad that a WH is being made for diege and family. Much love to all.

Would love to make squares (am thinking cactus and maybe leafy/waves). Please send some Pumpkin or burnt orange, and some cactus green (mine are all dull). Think I'm ok for blues.
