I wonder would any other actual woman who made such a rant at trump be immediately lauded and given a TV slot the very next day? I can't see it happening tbh.

I just showed DH. His exact words were "what the fuck?"

I don't understand why anyone would be newsworthy for that tweet, regardless of what they look like. The tweet doesn't "destroy" Trump. He's not ignored it because he can't think of a good enough comeback, it's just not worth replying to!

Ah, it was a whole series of tweets. Just one after another, ranting.

They were good, to be fair. But the media are reporting it as a woman tweeting. Possibly because they're unaware of who DM is, or because they're doing the usual gaslighting re trans.

No one can possibly take "Danielle" or Trump seriously
If it wasn't awful it would be funny Confused

I see that Danielle has gained 55k followers overnight.

She's going to have a job to get her take on Trump heard above the sound of Murrica gasping when an unconventional looking woman on the box tomorrow.

I didn't think the tweets were that good tbh. If they hadn't been so well publicised, I don't think they would have garnered all this attention. Twitter is full of people ranting about Trump and many are more eloquent than D.
I almost wonder if it's deliberate so Republicans can skewer what they see as the crazy identity politics of the Left. Very few people are going to view D as a woman.

I'm having to sit on my hands on facebook to stop going onto other people's threads to post a photo of Danielle just to see which of them will go "I thought this was a woman commenting?"

I would, but I just don't have any faith any more that even the sheer gas-lighting ridiculousness of Danielle's "this is what a woman looks like" presentation style will make any of them rethink their "a woman is whoever says they are a woman" stance.

I note that Danielle has a relaxed attitude to facial hair. Perhaps Danielle should try S&B to try to sort that out.

Would D pass India's grooming standards? Is a hairy face better than hairy legs? trick question:the patriarchy knows it is

As Kate said above, twitter is full of people ranting against Trump. Those tweets don't "destroy" Trump. I thought they were pretty terrible.
Thousands of women, men and others post better evey day.

Oh yeah, Muscato is an "unconventional looking woman" alright. No actual woman would be able to look like that and still have a public platform that would glean them 55k extra followers over night.

But the tweets were drivel - just the same sort of thing everybody has been saying all along, and tweeting the same thing, slightly rephrased,15+ times in a one hour period makes you look demented.

I saw the tweets at the time and only looked up DM now, and this rather confirms the demented aspect. It looks like DM has form for latching onto the movement du jour and being professionally offended.

FloraFox · 05/12/2016 08:23

I agree the tweets were not all that great but bring on the DM show. Let people see this bullshit in clear light.

DM says she hasn't 'transitioned' because she can't afford it. What does that even mean? The clothes? The surgery? Maybe someone will offer to fund it...

I am hoping this is a good thing. A hell of a lot of people blindly support transrights without looking any further into it than ' They just want to pee in peace'
Bring on the Danielle Muscato's, the Stephonknees and their ilk, the more the merrier, anything that helps a few more people towards being gendercritical isnt a bad thing as far as I can see.

But watching the SJW's trying to defend the inevitable shitstorm once Muscato appears will be fun to watch.

Muscato will simply push the angle about being unable to afford surgery I think.

the world really has gone beyond parody or satire.

Even if she can't afford to transition surely a Bic razor is like 99 cents?

Bit of a nerve to lecture people on male and white privilege when you effectively present as a white man.

Report

Danielle has changed tune about not being able to transition.

This is what Danielle said about women and appearance:

"If you think I'm not a woman, or less of a woman, because I don't fit your mental picture of what a woman should look like, or what body parts a woman should or shouldn't have, newsflash:

Your mental description of women is not only inaccurately narrow, but anti-feminist and bigoted as well."

So there. Now you know, bigots. Grin
