Has anyone posted this? I read it in my parents' paper and it horrified me.
The interviewer was very soft on them, and some of the comments the Journo makes are Shock
I'm on a mobile so can't write loads as I find it too fiddly but I'd like to discuss this.

Oh. Allison Pearson. She's got form for being a bit of a shit journalist and I think I'm allowed to say that? Very weird frother type. Misogynist, self-promoting, etc etc.

Her father seems even more creepily involved in all this shit that I initially thought.

It's really disturbing. I feel very sorry for the girl after reading this. With a Dad who seems to view her as a commodity no wonder she stuck with him.

I wonder if Daddy dearest would have been as quick to excuse Cheddys antics had he been a factory worker?

Allison Pearson wasn't always doing the bidding of those like the Masseys and Evans.

I read this. Thought it was very uncritical and supportive of her and him and made them sound like victims. What about the hell the bloody victim has gone through??

Poor lass.

With a father like that and a fiance to match?

I have a feeling the universe is already punishing her enough.

What's the odds Tash lives happily ever after?
Zero.

Who ran that Ched Evans website that was so unkind to the complainant and did things like show CCTV footage it shouldn't have?

I don't have a shred of sympathy for her. She can't choose her father but she can choose her fiance.

I despise her almost as much as him. I see she conned Pearson with the looks like a Renaissance Madonna routine. Massey has been carefully cultivating her sweetly demure, downcast eyes , saying nothing routine in every public appearance.

I'm not praising or defending what she did.

Read the interview again and tell me it doesn't make your spidey senses tingle.

At the very least she has been well rehearsed.

Something is off.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 27/10/2016 00:36

No , lego you are asking for sympathy for her. Sorry, still none whatsoever.

To have sympathy for her one would have to buy into the idea it's never the case a woman can just be a nasty piece of work of her own volition - she has to have been manipulated by some awful man. And I don't accept that.

Report
legotits · 27/10/2016 00:44

I suppose a nip of sympathy, not because she is innocent though.

She's made her bed now, forever more with those two.
Ched did it, she compounded it they are all guilty of hurting the victim.

This is it for them, their defining moment. She's doing the junkit like Dolly Parton meets the valleys.

She's puzzling me.

I don't have even the tiniest shred of sympathy of Massey.

She was instrumental in setting up the website that encouraged 1000's of people to vilify her boyfriend's victim, encouraged naming her, and made her life even more difficult.

She personally sent abusive messages to people who support his victim.

She tried to bribe a witness into changing their testimony, and then became abusive when they didn't answer.

She wanted to be a WAG, and the little princess got what she wanted.

It's her and her vile boyfriend's DD I feel sorry for. I hope she is able to escape all the toxicity one day, but she is also going to find out exactly what a complete bastard her father is. Poor kid.

I think they have a son, Xenophile. Your point still stands though, with such cunts as parents that child is going to have it tough.

Alex even IF he was telling the truth about the oral sex (which I highly doubt) a woman has the right to say 'no' at any point, if she does or is incapable of giving consent then yes that man that continues is a rapist!

Report
RedMapleLeaf · 27/10/2016 08:46

At the risk of getting attacked here, if it's true that he gave her oral sex then I don't think he did rape her. That doesn't seem like the action of a rapist to me.... And obviously if she explicitly asked him to go down on her then even more so.

Why do you think people might take exception to your comment alex?

Cba to read it all. Self serving whiny bollocks.

Ok just finished it. Ched says "how much drink is too much" which Alison thinks is a mature, thoughtful question Hmm

As I've said before, the general consensus among people who've met and worked with the writer is that she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Report
NoCapes · 27/10/2016 09:02

alex and what would you consider to be the 'actions of a rapist'?
A man in a dark alley with a mask and a knife?
ffs

Oh and that interview was a load of old drivel, but I'm surprised it's took so long for them to do it tbh

If you were to accept ched evans account of events then there is no way that you could be positive that he did not believe he had consent. It is safe therefore for you to assume that people on this thread do not believe he's telling the truth about what happened.
