I don't need Feminism

Remember a few months ago there was a meme or whatever they're called that was (in the majority) young ie: under 25 year old women holding up signs saying I don't need feminism because. . .

I remember reading some of them and thinking I really hope that that is the way the world works out for you, but realistically you're going to look back at this when you're 45 or so and think what the fuck was I thinking.........

One stuck with me and her comment was she didn't need feminism because she was in charge of her own sexuality.

You know what unknown woman the Court of Appeals have decided that you're not. That the statement of 2 men you had sex with were enough to initiate an appeal.

And a jury of 12 of your peers have decided that if you have consented and enjoyed sex with one man ever you are freely available to all men.

I actually stupidly thought him being convicted the first time was a step in the right direction finally.

The fact that the police picked up that a report of a stolen/lost bag was actually more, than they followed it up, that the CPS ran with it was so YES, they're finally getting it, they're finally taking a women right to her own body seriously.

And now this; one tiny step forward, 100 years backward

Yeah, right. You are only in charge of your own sexuality if you happen to want to be fucked by every man who wants to fuck you. If you are able to delude yourself that that's the case, then you can feel in charge.

If not, then ... not so much.

Though there is a surprising number of women who try this strategy in order to feel empowerfulized.
