Hi,

I was wondering if any parents might be able to help me out. I'm writing my dissertation on gender stereotypes within the beauty industry and was looking for a few parents to answer some questions or just a quick opinion about products aimed at children and teens.

I'm mostly interested in how parents feel about gender stereotypes aimed at children through brands such as Lynx.

I would be incredibly grateful if you'd be willing to answer a few questions please let me know, or even just leave a quick opinion in a comment below.

:)

Thanks

Your dissertation should contain quantitative data, not the opinion of anonymous posters whose gender / age / demographic you can't confirm.

Scarlett, I think there is a section on Mumsnet specifically for survey/research requests. Good luck with your dissertation. :)

Sinclair, a dissertation does not have to contain quantitative data, it could be based on qualitative data. I had very little quantitative data in my thesis. (After spending most of the day wrestling with qual data, I'm beginning to think it's harder than quantitative research ...). And the use of internet surveys is becoming more and more common even for serious research, though of course opinion is divided as to how acceptable it is.
