Who is fussing? Perez Hilton asked for a peer reviewed study to support her comment that "a masturbate a day keeps the haters away", but I didn't see any fuss about female masturbation.
I think publishing photos of yourself with your hands down your pants is grim regardless of your gender tbh.

From what I can see the article focuses more on her drug use than the masturbation thing, and any posting a photo and comment like that is pretty pointless, isn't it? They're pointing to it as evidence of her "going off the rails" which, given the context, doesn't seem very out there. My objection would be the focus they have on her and her behaviour in general - male celebrities don't tend to come under the same scrutiny.
There isn't a great deal said about masturbation itself.
