I'm blogging for Mumsnet at the Sexual Violence in War Global Conference . I don't get a choice on what sessions I attend as no member of the media will but I did want to see what MNers were interested in me reporting back on.

Marking place so I can find this later.

Will you be going to the sessions that are open to the public, or are these other ones?

Hi SGM!

I think I'd like to know more about what they propose to do for refugees and asylum seekers who have been victims of sexual violence. At the moment, it seems to be a big fat nothing.

Welcome Back Stewie. Smile

I agree with Capt Chaos, I would like to know what governments will do about women who seek asylum having been victims of sexual violence. AtM they are re-victimised by the way they are treated by our asylum system, not sure how other European countries (or other countries) deal with it.

That's on my list. I couldn't get on to web chat with Hague (because I couldn't get my old log-in to work) but I was disappointed with how he dodged that question as it relates to services for victims of sexual violence in the UK. If I ran into him (unlikely), I'd also want a better answer to the question of services for women in the UK in general since it seems somewhat hypocritical to be hosting this conference when convictions for rape int he UK are getting worse and our major broadcaster has been ignoring systemic sexual violence against children for years.

Tuesday is all about youths and sexual violence.

There is a "fringe" accompanying the conference so people are able to attend those events, which I believe are all free.

Please ask why sexual violence in conflict as opposed to sexual violence full stop because the only answer I see is to stop violent conflict. I propose that we arm the leaders who start a war with fencing equipment and they can dual it out rather than hide behind armies.

Marking my place. Hope you enjoy it (if enjoy is the right word!)

I'm kind of in agreement with Spottybra here. And surely any solution that is actually going to work and make a difference has got to tackle male violence as a whole. And male attitudes towards women. I'd be interested to know if this is raised at all and any suggestions for strategies they may have.

Have women's rights rolled back after the Arab spring or this just biased reporting? E.g in Iraq women getting flack for western clothing where they didn't under Saddam, I think there was raping of female protestors at some of the rallies.

I've seen a lot of talk on twitter about the issue of refugees being held in detention in UK. I really hope that this is discussed at the summit, along with the problem of sending women and girls back to the country where they were raped and abused.

I'd like to hear that too, mme.

I want to know about how they assess women's risk of sexual violence, because from the little I understand, it sounds traumatic.
