I rarely let the dc's watch CITV because I don't like the ads and now this has set me off on a rant Blush. It was a 1 minute talking heads bit between programmes, boys and girls saying what was great and 'not great' about boys. I'm glad I haven't see the Best thing about girls, I dread to think what that is like.

Best things about boys "they're great at football", "they understand football, TV and games". WTAF.

Depressing to see gender stereotyping being hammered into kids on CITV.

Anyway, the dc's have now had to listen to me grumbling about how girls can be just as good at football as boys and boys and girls can do all the same things, and CITV is now banned in this house.

Ooh yes we saw that too. 5 year old DD called me into the living room saying

"Mummy come and look at this programme - it's is being really sexist Angry ".

I think we'll give CITV a break.

eyeliner 5yo DD started bellowing that girls could be good at football and got quite uppity about it.

DS is being raised to be as unsexist as possible (unlike his father) but nonsense like that doesn't help.

You wouldn't get that on CBBC.
