Darkest

flowers for you for standing up to them. Pathetic little worms that they are.

Well done for feeling better in yourself. Addressing the psychological impetus to eat is the way to go in the longer term and exalting in the good feelings that exercise and food enjoyment give will help. Power walking is great as is any kind of walking and it is a democratic, free way to lose weight, improve health and enjoy the outdoors. The boobs sound painful. Maybe there is a thread on here that can advise re sports bras?

Oh and muscle weighs more as you probably know so getting slimmer doesn't always mean weighing less initially.

Thanks mignon I think thats true There are 3 of us in that class who are excersising regularly and the weight is coming off really slowly. We all seem to be experiencing it the same way ...those of us that are excersising.

Darkest - The way to maintain a reduced weight is to lose it slowly so you are all doing exactly the right thing and of course the more muscle you build, the more calories you can ingest before gaining weight. Muscle needs more energy to function. Am happy for you.

Thankyou thanks

Well done for standing up to them, Darkesteyes. I think that's really brave of you.

And good luck with the exercising/eating healthily. Sounds like it is going well if you are experiencing looser clothes etc.

Thankyou scallops thanks

I haven't seen this on Twitter yet but I certainly won't be keeping quiet about it if I do. I am fat/obese/lardy/whatever you want to call it.

I felt the urge there to explain why I'm fat but I don't think that's really relevant to this thread. It just buys into the idea that it is something to be ashamed of - you know "I'm fat but it's not my fault, please don't include me with all the other fat people". hmm

Anyone who judges a person on their appearance (whether that's fat, thin, short, bald, hairy, big boobs, small boobs, anything) and then wants to make them feel ashamed, is not someone worth knowing.

And yes to banning talk about "real women". Being thin doesn't make you imaginary or any less a genuine woman, FFS.

Another in support of banning the use of 'real women'.
Absolutely hate it.
