There's a comment underneath pointing out that when Nigella Lawson is the victim of DV, everyone is shocked and outraged on her behalf, but when this opera singer is, (working class, outsider) she's called an attention seeker.
I'm not sure - I thought it might also be to do with the fact that no-one can deny Nigella was attacked by Saatchi because he did it in public. It's basically sharia standards - unless it's witnessed by at least 4 men, we can dismiss the claim and say it's just women being hysterical attention seekers.
