Terrific! I'm planning to treat myself to watching some of her in action next week. It's been a mighty long while since I've found someone so inspiring!

Wendy Davis is a modern day hero and did a fantastic job. Mizuno should be proud to have supplied the shoes she used! Those reviews are fab - I particularly liked this one:

I bought them in pink with green stripe. I will put them on my feet when I need to run far. When I am tired, I will ask myself: WWWD?! Then I will keep running.

She's great.

guerillacrochet I don't care if it's derailing. That's fantastic.

This is fantastic.

Brilliant! "Guaranteed to outrun the patriarchy on race day" smile third without wanting to derail you, have you seen similarly brilliant Amazon reviews for Bic for her? Absolutely bloody hilarious

From now on in tough moments I shall ask myself WWWD? (what would Wendy do?) She is my new badass hero!

Wendy Davis is a modern-day hero. Utterly awesome. What a fantastic, principled, AMAZING example to people everywhere.

Ooh you have to watch, I've never seen so much fabulousness in all my life smile

Meglet Fri 28-Jun-13 23:00:36

Fantastic.

I still haven't watched any actual footage of her epic session but I've read about it.

Mostly people depress me. But sometimes, like right now, I love people. Thanks for posting this.

Amazing story, found it quite emotional

Wendy Davis is simply tremendous.

BatmanLovesAllan Fri 28-Jun-13 20:36:47

Yep.

Tis why I clicked on it.

Glad I did, proper lolled (literally, am lolling about in bed like a lazy oaf)

ThirdTimesABrokenFanjo Fri 28-Jun-13 19:00:53

sorry I haven't slept for days, irony is a bit beyond me right now blush

This is a bit shallow, but is my thread a discussion of the day!? grin

tee hee - I know its common : I've been spoilt because Accountancy is pretty egalitarian (you either pass those darned exams or you don't)
what amused me was his reaction to my "smile"
he apologised when I was back there the next year grin

ThirdTimesABrokenFanjo Fri 28-Jun-13 18:43:37

talking peace

if only that was enough to out you! sad

you'll find many women have had that or very similar, (is your husband OK with you doing shifts/ is you husband OK with you leaving him home with the baby etc)

Velve Fri 28-Jun-13 18:42:36

Love it!

Talkinpeace Fri 28-Jun-13 18:40:19

Quangle
Same here. I realise I've been a bit complacent about women's rights.
I have a fab husband and motivated kids so its easy to forget the shit that misogynists do

then again (utterly outing self here) the chap who asked me if my husband approved of me working backed without taking his eyes off me after I "smiled" at him

girliefriend Fri 28-Jun-13 18:30:59

I don't get it confused

What am i missing?
