Anyone know of any good feminist critiques of new welfare provision? Doing an essay for uni, comparing the beveridge report with coalition government's welfare provision. xx

Have you tried looking at the fawcett society website?

I know this isn't directly related, but if you need to find out the basics (benefits are so notoriously complex that it's easy to miss a few bits and bobs which might be useful) then I've always found the factsheets over at the Child Poverty Action Group - (on the right hand side of the home page) really comprehensive.

Good luck with your essay!

thanks 121, that will be useful. :) I'm finding it hard to trawl through all the boring reports and white papers, so that makes life a lot easier!
