it was interesting listening to conservative members trying to say 'she is a nutjob' without actually saying it (terms such as 'valued colleague that feels very strongly about it')

i really hope they aren't going to play a whole bunch of 'i had an abortion and am miserable about it' without countering it with an 'if i hadn't had an abortion it would have been much more traumatic' interview.

If we have learned anything from the appalling mess of endemic child abuse in Ireland, it's that Church and State should be kept as far away from each other as possible. Not the same subject but it's still about control masquerading as something else.
