books on feminism and motherhood?

Can someone guide me to some reading about second-wave British feminism and motherhood? I know about Adrienne Rich, Nancy Chodorow, etc. and the fact that there seems to be quite a bit of scholarship now discussing these and others, but it all seems very focused on the US. Is there any equivalent writing about motherhood by British feminists? I'm from the continent and just interested in getting an overview?

There's Aminatta Forna's Mother of all Myths

and Sylvia ann Hewlett's books are a controversial type of feminism but I like her esp baby hunger (but she is American)

There was Hannah Gavron's thesis, Captive Wife, but she was maybe American too

Naomi Wolf did a book on childbirth.

Wifework cover some of this ground.

The Naomi Wolf one is pretty duff - has some good points about medical care for pg women but it's not really feminist IMO.

I can't think of anything specifically second wave, though The Female Eunuch does discuss motherhood. Mother of All Myths is good. There's also one by Melissa Benn called something like The Politics of Modern Motherhood, from about 10 years ago, which I remember being impressed by (though I didn't have any children then).
