This new group will be meeting for the first time to discuss The Equality Illusion by Kat Banyard.

Sorry, that was a stupid mistake caused by experimenting with the "Preview" control! And there's no cancel button here.

That's brilliant David :) Hope it goes really well. Can anyone come or do you need to sign up somewhere?

Anyone can come, but if you sign up on Facebook it gives me an idea of how well we are doing & who's likely to come

By the way if you're not on FB and/or don't want to use it there is a webpage where I will be putting info about future meetings:

profemreaders.blogspot.com/

But the FB page is much more interesting!

David51, how did your book club's first meeting go?

Report
David51 · 11/03/2011 13:41

hi vesuvia, thanks for asking

The first meeting was a bit of a mis-fire as we only had 3 people & only one (me) had actually finished the book.

However we have over 70 members in the Facebook group and are having some good online discussions. So I am going to persist with it & try again for a face to face meeting in a few weeks' time.

ooh yeah next time will you bump this thread a bit beforehand? I'd like to come if I can. Despite being a lady-woman and everything.

EandM - oddly enough we have more women in the FB group than men. That's perfectly fine though not what I expected

(I think they are keeping an eye on us to make sure we're proper feminists) Grin

Is there any hope that something would be going on between March 22 and March 29?
