Programme here.

I was hoping to see a political debate on mn about it, but it seems to have mostly inspired debate amongst the state versus private education types.

I think it has much wider implications for society and democracy (or the lack of it?) ...

Yes elephants, I did the link on my phone, so that is prrobably why it didn't work this.

I tend to lurk on this topic rather than post. It would be good to have a media type thread in the feminist section, I heard a programme on radio 4 today that I thought I would link on here too. Called teenage kicks it really concerns me, and I know there has been a debate on mn before along the lines of this, to do with sexually aggressive behaviour at school.

I thought it highlighted the problem of elitism well but did not really put forward a holistic solution, I don't think it is just about improving education.
