Thought you might want to hear about the planned demo outside the Treasury next Tuesday. I got the info via one of the TUC women who spoke at the final plenary of the Feminism In London conference.

Can't attend as not in London but would love to be there. The gender dimension of the cuts something that sooo needs highlighting

For anyone planning to go to this, I got an email from Women Against the Cuts saying that their demo clashes with an NUS demo and they might have to change the date.

Check before you go.

Indeed. Too many demos. Not enough days in the year :)

It may get to the point that we have to check wardrobe options before protests you know Oh I can't wear this jacket again to the TUC March that's what I wore to the TUC Womens Day of Action - people will talk.

I heard to day that the WAC (nice acronym) demo is going ahead on 30th. They've resigned themselves to the fact that they won't get any coverage because the NUS demo will be the big news but they didn't want women to turn up to a demo and find it had been cancelled. They're then going to plan another one (hopefully not at the same time/venue as another major demo!).
