big fan of Barefoot white zinfandel. It's light and fruity almost verging on sparkling at first. Lovely stuff, second two bottles of that over a posher one.
I don't like the granache, but I do have a sweet tooth. Zinfandel may be popular / common but that is because it is delicious. I would sooner get 2 bottles of this to 1 expensive other variety.
I like white grenache - a lot of people think it's the same as white zinfadel but I find it a bit harsh whereas the grenache is "softer"
Sancerre rose is delicious
Depends on what style of rose you like - if it's something with body and character I'd go for a Tavel (French). It's not cheap, but you should be able to get for £20 easy.
Help! I don't drink the stuff - but need a lovely bottle for a birthday gift - willing to spend up to £20.Thanks.
