Alice Hoffman - to buy or not to buy?

I have a £15 Amazon voucher that's burning a hole in my pocket and am thinking of buying Alice Hoffman's The Ice Queen. Just wondering if anyone has read any of her stuff and if it's any good? Or if anyone has any alternative recommendations. Ta.

she's not a favourite of mine

but I always take a gamble if using gift vouchers, give it a try

Oh, I had that book. Think I gave it away, but it was good. Library though IMO.
