Read the first 100 pages last night and it is really good. Two stories; 38 yr old Irish American woman in Manhattan, and her grandmother in Galway in 1930s.

Anybody else read it? I think I saw it in the shops ages ago and gagged at the title, but I got this in a second hand shop, paid 50c for it and I'm already wondering if she's written anything else!

Yes, I read this! Picked it up from the library for a holiday read and really enjoyed it. Haven't read anything else by the same author, though. Would be intersted to hear if her other books are good.
