Ok, it is read-able

my mother-in-law raved about it and passed it to me and I thought it was OK

yes - i enjoyed it. It was an easy read. However, I think I prefered the 2nd book by the huy who wrote the kite runner umm A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hossein I think.

I just could NOT get into it, despite everybody telling me how great it was!

The Island by Victoria Hislop is very good.

I enjoyed it but it's not overly challenging- a good holiday read

I thought it was all so bloody obvious after reading 10 pages that I skipped through the book seeing if it all happened as I predicted, and it did

It was just a bit distressing and unoriginal, I thought

It started off ok and then got a bit boring.

It's ok, easy read, simple story.

It was ok. I wouldn't buy it though, get it from the library.

Rather predictable, it started off well then meandered and sputtered to an ending.

I agree - good idea but too much explaining of everything not leaving you to work things out for yourself. Also predictable but an easy enough read.

unimpressed. wish i hadnt stubbornly persevered to the end. i HATE not finishing a book but sometimes i am wrong
