Off the top of my head

-The Continuum Concept by Jean Liedloff:
NOt so much a book regarding abuse, more of a parenting guide. I personally think that the woman who wrote it is a genius. ITs all about BABIES and how they are affected by their early experiences. You just have to try it to see what I mean.

-LEtting Go as Children Grow, Deborah Jackson:
Again another book about parenting (but I think these books are relevant to us as we have never had a good parenting "model" in our own parents). Its based on The Continuum Concept (above) and Jackson refers to this book a lot. VEry interesting.

My relationship with my toxic parents led me to be a relationship addict...... the book I read which quite honestly saved me from a life of misery was
'WOMEN WHO LOVE TOO MUCH' BY ROBIN NORWOOD.
This book is a serious must read.... it deals with bad relationships you can get into that appear 'normal' because of the way you were brought up. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT BOOK
