Tana French almost complete. What next?

Help. I have about 25% left of the final Tana French series to read. Is it just the Murder squad she has done? Have looked on Amazon and can't see anymore other than the 7.

So am feeling a bit sad. I assumed she had done more outside of the series but if not I need something similar.

Have read the Shetland books, the Vera ones and the Simon serrailer series. I like thrillers but not too gory and love a series to get my teeth stuck into. Much prefer British/Irish settings to anything else. I haven't tried any Skandi series though but could possibly be tempted.

I have had some fantastic recommendations from mn over the last 12 months and hope to get some more. All the above were read and enjoyed on the back of threads on here. And if anyone is looking for a series recommendation thoroughly enjoyed all the above!

I lIke Tana French and I also like Karin Slaughter the Will Trent series starting with Triptych (but I didn't enjoy the moSt recent one). I also liked "I am pilgrim" by Terry Hayes.

The Wesley Peterson series by Kate Ellis are a bit different, and a good read.

Elly griffiths writes a good series about Ruth Galloway, often set in Norfolk

Have you read PD James- I read them again and again

Barbara Vine/Ruth Rendell

Peter Robinson and his Inspector Banks series are very good, although the early ones are better

Belinda Bauer

Erin Kelly has written 2 or 3 books that you might like

All UK based I think, can recommend some Scandinavian authors too if you like?

I have seen I Am Pilgrim recommended a few times. I might give that a whirl.

efeslight I would love a couple of scandi recommendations please. It's a genre I haven't done before. The amazon reviews are usually ok for a guide. But have always found mn recommendations better.

I didn't really enjoy Gone Girl or Girl on a Train for instance and they had fantastic amazin reviews.

Will look at the other recommended stuff later on my kindle.

Peter May's Hebridean trilogy? I'm not a great fan of crime/thriller fiction but loved these.

Sorry it took a while, some Nordic Noir authors I have read:

Johan Theorin the quarry, really enjoyed this one, also wrote the darkest room which was pretty good

Arnaldur Indridason, series set in Iceland

Jussi Adler-Olson, set in Copenhagen

Camilla Lackberg series with Patrick Hedstrom policeman, his family are often involved in the stories

Have just started the Belinda Bauer series and am enjoying those so will come back to the scandi recommendations.

MiddlingMum I have read those and enjoyed them very much. Was disappointed by just the 3 and am hoping a 4th comes along!

Oh I love Tana French. I loved Broken Harbour. It was crazy. Also liked The Likeness and the one set in the school. What's the new one called OP? I might buy it at Gatwick tomorrow. I've hours to kill between two flights. I didn't know she had a new one out. They're a bit different from your average crime book I think.

Oh dear. Just read no 4. 6 year old girl and 3 year old boy (siblings) murdered. Brilliant book but very very close to the bone as I have a 6 year old girl and 3 year old boy.

Luckily I've just downloaded no 5 to cheer me up.

Although I think I might re-read no 3 first as 3 and 5 seem to be connected and I like to spot the connections.
